2019 Spring Ephemerals Share: 4 weeks

At the end of the long winter, we are all desperate for scent and color. By March, I am antsy to see the fields filled with flowers..and depending on the kindness of Mother Nature, we may or may not see blooms as early as April in the field. This year we have planted over 12,000 spring bulbs to be tucked into our bouquets and sold to florists and designers next spring.

Our Spring Ephemerals Bouquet Share is widely popular among our local followers. This year, we are offering a limited amount of 4 week spring shares again, where you will receive a ~18 stem bouquet each week for 4 weeks, comprised of our very first 2019 field grown flowers.

We love planting the good stuff here, and our bulb beds are filled with large, french tulips or whimsical fluted petal parrot tulips, and frilled, rare, double scented daffodils. These are our very first flowers from the farm. We pair them with freshly cut early blooming shrubs and tree foliage. This share was hugely popular last year and it is expected to sell out in 2019.

When does it start? When the flowers are ready to bloom. That's right, we'll surprise you! As soon as we start to see the buds breaking ground we can gauge time to bloom; and we will email you about 2 weeks ahead of time with the start date. We can roughly estimate a mid-to late April start-- in 2017 it was mid-April and in 2018, with a wetter year it was a later April start. We appreciate your flexibility as we wait along with you!

Limited Availability: We have planted a finite number of bulbs into the field for spring. We've set the share inventory based on this, so once they are sold out, THAT'S IT!

Pickup Options:

FOUR Pickup Spots for 2019:

-Flickerwood in downtown Oxford

-WorKS in Kennett Square

-Eastcote Lane in Devon on the mainline

-NEW Addition for 2019! Kurtz Collection in Glen Eagle Square in Glen Mills

We are estimating Thursday (OX, Devon, Glen Mills) & Friday (KSQ) pickups anytime from noon-closing, same as in 2018; but will confirm along with the 'start date' in very early spring! However, make note of the day so that you can mark your calendars.

Our Promise: As always, our bouquets will be filled with unusual colors and varieties and responsibly grown without chemicals. They are handmade by Mara, so no two are the exact same, and freshly picked from what is blooming in our fields, bursting with color, hand wrapped and ready to be recut & dropped into the vase or container of your choice back at home.

Your Promise: Pickup your flowers on your designated day/time (or send a friend if you can't make it!); and treat them well. Our flowers are not chemically treated including no vase life extenders. For the longest vase life: Pick them up the day we deliver. Keep them out of direct sun. Fresh cut them before putting them into fresh clean water, change the water regularly to keep bacteria from clogging the stems.

Our bouquet shares make a great holiday gift for loved ones OR if you are a small business, have fresh flowers in your lobby or on your reception desk!

After purchase, you will receive an auto order confirmation from our site; and then a follow up email in mid March with additional details. Due to the perishable nature of blooms, we are unable to accommodate special requests including changes to the pickup spots.

As always thank you so much for your local love and support of our small family farm! Without you, we would not be able to grow the special things we do and we are thankful!

~If this is a gift, please email after purchase to request a printable Gift Share PDF to be sent to you for printing~
